Result & Expected effect
The research of Prof. Yuanzhe Piao has an excellent track record in innovative approaches towards synthesis of functional nanoparticles such as superpara- and ferromagnetic nanoparticles, silica nanoparticles, semiconducting nanoparticles and graphene flakes. He designed several new and relatively unexplored preparation methods, such as paired-cell method, wrap-bake-peel process and mix-bake-wash process, to add new facets for the synthesis of various nanostructured metamaterials. He is currently also strongly involved in the development of novel contrast agents for Magnetic Resonance Imaging. He has published in the very top international chemistry and materials journals, such as Nature Materials, J. Am. Chem. Soc, Chem. Soc. Rev., Small, Adv. Funct. Mater., Chem. Commun., and Nanoscale.
