초록 : As for the coverage from cancer to neurodegenerative disease, recent non-invasive in vivo imaging and bioinformatics method will be introduced in this presentation. Utilizing those two potent techniques, the origin of disease has been traced with regards to cancer stem cell and drug resistant cell. 
Small animal, particularly mouse, has been an important test bed for basic and translational biomedical study preceding clinical application. Recent technical advance has produced animal models to mimic human disease with genetically encoded or externally tagged biomarkers. Combined with well-designed endoscopic probes, it has led us see a new avenue to investigate complex pathophysiology of human disease such as neurodegeration and cancer, in animal model at cellular and molecular level.
On the other hand, recent development of various algorithms has been bringing the opportunity to get great genomic knowledge at a time. ARACNe and Connectivity Map are the most useful tools among them. The former was initially applied to classification of glioblastoma aggressiveness and the latter was only to establish tripartite relationship among genes, chemicals and diseases. Through them, transcription factors and chemicals to overcome chemoresistance were analyzed. They seems to be pretty reproducible in vitro and in vivo. 
Additionally, other integrative technology like optogenetics and PDT will be also briefly introduced in this talk.
