Abstract
Convergence has become the trend of science in the 21st century. Biology is not an exception: interdisciplinary studies of biological systems open up new horizon in life science. In particular, physics brings new insights into biological phenomena besides providing new methods. To illustrate the convergence of the fields, I will present the concept of single-molecule biophysics and the work recently done in my laboratory.
